Our Clients’ Voices

Sean with his hand-made kite, all ready for take off
Sean with his hand-made kite, all ready for take off

Sean has been attending SLC since 2013. It is his Saturday chill out staple, after which he goes on the Artist Development Programme at Pathlight. He loves SLC, and I think ARC is far-sighted to have this programme.

Sean gets to have a community of both neuro-typical and neuro-atypical individuals to network with, and it is a stabilising factor in his development, particularly as he transitions to ITE after leaving Pathlight. I think he managed to weather some very rocky events during his transition to ITE because of the calming and supportive people he gets to see every Saturday.

He looks forward to SLC every Friday, planning what to bring, what to wear after the SLC for activities after. Though he has no clue which goal post to shoot into when he plays football during SLC, he appreciates how he gets immediate and friendly feedback on whether he is in the right direction. I am grateful to Dennis and his team for running the SLC like clockwork, and I expect Sean will be joining SLC for many years to come.
